Description

Under general supervision, troubleshoot process automation solutions to support Operators and Process Engineers.

  • Troubleshoot discrete, continuous and advanced control, controller equipment and software, and the HMI
  • Investigate the root cause(s) of poor performing processes, identify any process automation contributors, and execute corrective actions
  • Troubleshoot alarm systems
  • Troubleshoot basic process instrumentation (basic sensors and actuation)
  • Troubleshoot PCS industrial communication networks and the plant historian
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of Engineering experience relevant to Process Automation, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a Scientific discipline and three (3) years of Engineering experience relevant to Process Automation, OR
  • Master's degree in a Scientific discipline and two (2) years of Engineering experience relevant to Process Automation

Preferred

  • HMI/PLC and/or DCS programming and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience in DeltaV, Programming Knowledge, Logic and HMI.
  • Experience in Rockwell Automation Products such as MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000 and Studio 5000.
  • Proficiency in Factory Talk View ME and SE Enterprise, Alarm creation and management, HMI development.
  • Proficiency in OSiSoft, PI Data acquisition.
  • Proficiency in APC knowledge, OCS Metso.
  • Proficiency in Networking, Devicenet, Modbus and Ethernet IP.
  • Advanced P&IDs knowledge.
  • Knowledge of building Workstations and Servers (Physical and Virtual)
  • Intermediate understanding of instrumentation.
  • Basic Process Knowledge in the mining industry.

  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Work is in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see
  • Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to thirty (30) pounds during the course of the workday
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
