Warehouse Assistant - Green Valley/Amado

Under the general supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, this full-time position is responsible for providing general warehouse support in both Amado and Green Valley.

Role Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Unload trucks and other product items as received. Load trucks, when needed. Prepare, load and deliver product to Amado.
Assure that wheels are chocked before loading or unloading.
Operate equipment and perform daily warehousing task in compliance with CFB safety practices.
Identify and report any safety risk or safety incidents to your supervisor.
Inspect incoming deliveries for cleanliness and damage.
Assist with completing and submitting receiving reports.
Tag and store product according to CFB practices.
Efficiently utilize warehouse storage space by restacking inbound product.
Assist with monthly inventory.
Recycle cardboard, plastic, wood, shrink wrap and paper according to CFB standards.
Provide guidance and support volunteers.
Maintain pallets and supplies, inside and outside storage.
Maintain cleanliness of warehouse equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with all health codes and standards applicable to food acquisition, storage and distribution.
Work as a team member with other CFB staff and programs.
When needed cover for other team members in their absence.
Complete daily tasks in compliance with AIB Food Safety and Handling Manual.
Attend warehouse meetings and monthly staff meetings.
Responsible for accessing, understanding and following documented procedures in the Food Safety Written Programs shared file to include: (1) Management Responsibility, (2) Training and education, (3) Self Inspection, (4) Written Procedure Audit Program, (5) Client Complaint Program, (6) Chemical Control, (7) Allergen Control Program, (8) Glass and Brittle Plastics Program, (9) Cleaning Program, (10) Preventing maintenance Program, (11) Receiving Inspection, (12) Regulatory Affairs and Inspection, (13) Food Defense Program, (14) Traceability Program, (15) Recall Withdrawal Program, (16) Nonconforming Product Program, (17) HACCP program, (19) Integrated Pest Management.
Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor and/or Resource Center Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High school education or equivalent
Able to comfortably lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly
Experience in general warehouse duties including operation of warehouse equipment, forklift and electric pallet jack
Experience in receiving and conducting inventories
Grocery experience a plus
Self-starter and team player with the ability to work independently and effectively
Excellent customer service skills, ability to interact professionally with the public.
Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Suite and Internet based communications
Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and communication skills
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Able to provide oversight and direction to volunteers
Good sense of humor
Empathy and support for the economically disadvantaged
Ability to work with people of widely varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds
For insurance purposes, must be at least 21 years of age; possess a current and valid Arizona Driver License and a safe driving record.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
